Private equity firm DC Capital Partners takes a partial stake in a provider of hardware and software products to the special operations community.

Private equity firm DC Capital Partners has acquired a partial stake in Digital Force Technologies, a provider of hardware and software products to the special operations community.

Terms of the transaction announced Thursday were undisclosed, but DFT intends to use the backing from DC Capital for efforts in expanding into adjacent markets and growing among existing customers.

San Diego-based DFT’s products are primarily used in force protection and tactical surveillance applications.

DFT designs its tools with edge processors that incorporate artificial intelligence functions to help users in situational awareness, surveillance and security.

Raymond James & Associates was financial adviser to DFT and DLA Piper acted as legal adviser. Latham & Watkins LLP served as legal adviser to DC Capital.
