Bidding begins for $1.5B DOD professional services vehicle

The Defense Department unveils the final solicitation for the recompete of a $1.5 billion professional services contract vehicle to support its acquisition and research offices.
The Defense Department has formally kicked off the bidding for a $1.5 billion professional services contract vehicle to support both its top acquisition official and lead for research and engineering.
DOD’s deadline is Aug. 31 for companies to submit proposals for this recompete of the Analytic & Technical Support Services contract, for which the department released the final solicitation Friday, July 31.
Questions regarding the request for proposals are due to DOD Aug. 7, or this coming Friday. Awards are anticipated for September, DOD said in the final RFP.
The department’s undersecretaries for acquisition and sustainment and research and engineering, plus so-called Fourth Estate agencies other than the service branches can use the ATSS IDIQ Recompete vehicle to acquire professional, scientific and technical services and general management consulting support.
One pool of awards is set aside for small businesses and the second track is unrestricted. Nearly 20 percent of task order requirements will be reserved for small businesses, while “two or more” awards of seats are planned for both pools.
Primary locations of performance are inside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region including the Pentagon and Mark Center.
