Intellidyne appoints new COO

Find opportunities — and win them.

IntelliDyne's current chief operating officer will retire in the fall and the company has announced his successor.

IntelliDyne has hired 13-year federal market veteran Harry Bartel as its next chief operating officer to succeed Ed Abner, who plans to retire from the company this coming fall.

Bartel will report directly to founder and CEO Robert Grey and be responsible for both operational and business development aspects, IntelliDyne said Thursday.

Grey returned to the chief executive role at IntelliDyne in February after nearly 12 years as only being chairman of the board of directors.

Most recently, Bartel was vice president of operations for Phacil and worked there for a total of 12 years.

Falls Church, Virginia-based IntelliDyne said its appointment of Bartel took place alongside several other internal promotions to senior leadership roles.

Those promotions included Sovany Van as deputy chief operating officer, Todd Margules as vice president of military health solutions, Mary Shaffran as vice president of civilian health solutions and Shannan Winker as vice president of finance.
