Eight win seats on $14B Air Force maintenance contract

Eight companies best more than a dozen other bids for a $14 billion aircraft maintenance services contract with the Air Force.
Eight companies have won positions on a potential 10-year, $14 billion contract for aircraft maintenance services to the Air Force across the U.S.
The service branch received 19 total bids for the Aircraft Maintenance Enterprise Solution that is intended as a strategic sourcing vehicle for all Air Force organizations to use, the Defense Department said in its Wednesday awards digest.
Awardees will compete for task orders to work on fixed- and swing-wing aircraft. Rotary wing, tiltrotor and remotely piloted aircraft are not included in this contract.

- Akima Logistics Services
- DynCorp International
- Jacobs
- Leidos
- M1 Support Services
- PAE
- Vertex Aerospace
This appears to be a brand new contract with no incumbent. Performance on a single task order will be capped at five years consisting of a one-year base period, followed by two individual option years alongside two one-year incentive option periods.
Work will take place at Air Force bases and other locations through Sept. 14, 2030.
