SparkCognition's government shop names lead exec

Commercial AI outfit SparkCognition hires a new lead executive from one of its investors to lead the government subsidiary.
On the heels of launching its government subsidiary, SparkCognition has hired a nearly 10-year defense market veteran to lead that shop.
Logan Jones will serve as general manager of SparkCognition Government Systems to help steer the commercial artificial intelligence outfit’s push for public sector business, the company said Monday.
Jones was most recently vice president of HorizonX -- the venture capital arm of Boeing and an investor in SparkCognition.
He joins SparkCognition one month after the government subsidiary was unveiled with a board of advisers comprising of several former defense and federal leaders.
