Find opportunities — and win them.

Accenture’s U.S. federal arm hires former Air Force Deputy CIO Bill Marion to the leadership team.

Accenture’s U.S. federal subsidiary has added to its leadership team William “Bill” Marion, former Air Force deputy chief information officer.

Marion joins Accenture Federal Services as managing director of growth and strategy for the defense and intelligence practice, where he will focus on IT innovation initiatives. He will work with clients on technology transformation and other mission support efforts, AFS said Wednesday.

The nearly three-decade federal service veteran left his prior role and government in the spring. He was the Air Force’s deputy CIO for nearly four years and led its IT portfolio and investment strategy, which involved a nearly $17 billion operating budget.
