General Atomics buys radar tech outfit

General Atomics has acquired Neva Ridge Technologies, a provider of synthetic aperture radar processing technology and services to customers in the defense and space sectors.

Terms of the transaction were undisclosed. San Diego-based General Atomics said Tuesday it will add Neva Ridge to the electromagnetic systems group.

Founded in 2005, Neva Ridge has developed a technique to produce three-dimensional precision imagery by using data from SAR platforms. The company also touts its offerings as supporting missions in interferometry, terrain mapping, millimeter ground motion mapping and generation of 3D point clouds.
