Northrop brings aboard former CSRA CFO as finance chief
Northrop Grumman has appointed the former CSRA chief financial officer to the same role.
Northrop Grumman said Wednesday has appointed former CSRA Chief Financial Officer David Keffer as the aerospace-and-defense giant and he will start the role on Feb. 17.
Keffer succeeds Ken Bedingfield, who has been Northrop’s CFO for six years and will officially depart the company on Feb. 21.
Keffer should be a familiar face to investors who watch the government market closely given he was CSRA's CFO for its entire run through the launch in 2015 to the acquisition by General Dynamics in 2018. He was also CFO for SRA International, which merged with the former Computer Sciences Corp. federal business to create CSRA.
He currently is a general partner at Blue Delta Capital Partners, an investment firm that takes non-controlling ownership stakes in government services and cybersecurity companies looking to enter their next phase of growth.
“Dave has broad experience and a proven track record of effectively leading finance organizations and driving business results,” Northrop CEO Kathy Warden said in a release.
Bedingfield has helped lead Northrop through several significant events, such as its surprise win of the Air Force B-21 bomber contract in 2015 and the acquisition of Orbital ATK in 2018 to double down on space and missile defense.
His nine-year career at Northrop also includes roles such as vice president of finance for the corporate office, plus vice president of business management and CFO for the aerospace systems sector.
He spent 17 years at KPMG prior to Northrop.
