Woman-owned small firm acquires consulting outfit

Government digital services firm Quotient has acquired Eden Consulting Group, a provider of project and program management services to federal agencies in a move to add depth and breadth of IT offerings.

Terms of the transaction announced Friday were undisclosed. Columbia, Maryland-based Quotient said ECG CEO Dave Eden and other members of the latter’s management team will continue to lead the business as a subsidiary.

Crofton-based ECG was founded in 1996 and its services include project management systems implementation and support, master schedule development and integration, and resource and cost management.

"Quotient's acquisition of ECG is another important step in executing our strategy of expanding our service offerings and growing our multi-agency presence," Quotient CEO and co-founder Jodi Lare said in a release. "ECG 's market leading position in Maryland and customer-focused service align well with the business Quotient has built."

Quotient was founded in 1999 and the woman-owned small business’ core services include content management, web design and development, application development, cybersecurity and cloud engineering.

Law firm Bowie & Jensen and financial advisory firm SC&H Capital worked with Quotient on this transaction.
