Mercury board adds former long-time Lockheed exec

Find opportunities — and win them.

Mercury Systems' board of directors elects a new member in Orlando Carvalho, who spent nearly four decades at Lockheed Martin.

Mercury Systems’ board of directors has elected former long-time Lockheed Martin executive Orlando Carvalho as a new member.

Carvalho’s election means Mercury’s board has nine members with eight of them being independent directors, the defense electronics maker said Tuesday.

He retired from Lockheed in 2018 after a 38-year career there and most recently was executive vice president of its aeronautics segment. Carvalho is also a former EVP for the F-35 program.
