Huntington Ingalls appoints new CIO
Huntington Ingalls Industries elevates one of its chief information officers at the segment level to CIO for the entire corporation.
Huntington Ingalls Industries has promoted Baharat Amin, chief information officer for one of its two shipbuilding segments, to the role of CIO for the corporation.
Amin will elevate to the new position on Jan. 1 and be responsible for establishing the company’s IT and overall digital strategy with a focus on cybersecurity. He will also lead corporate IT governance functions and report directly to HII CEO Mike Petters, the company said Wednesday.
Most recently, Amin was CIO for the company’s Newport News Shipbuilding segment for five years. He is also a former CIO for BAE Systems’ U.S. land and armaments business.
