Salient CRGT reports its win of a $482 million contract to support the Defense Department’s information networks.

Salient CRGT has booked a potential five-year, $482 million contract for cyber and engineering services to support the Defense Department’s information networks.

The “SANDBAR” contract announced Tuesday was awarded against the General Services Administration Alliant 2 contract vehicle for IT services and solutions to federal agencies.

DOD and GSA awarded the order on Sept. 26 and received five proposals, according to Federal Procurement Data System information. The contract covers one base year followed by up to four option years.

Work will encompass design, development, deployment, sustainment and lifecycle management of specialized information technologies.

Initial efforts for SANDBAR will focus on operations and maintenance, integration, upgrade, and system modernization of warfighter information networks. The company will also work with DOD to address aspects of airborne ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) and cyber operations.
