Leidos adds former DHS CIO Zangardi

Leidos announces its executive-level hire of John Zangardi, the former Homeland Security Department chief information officer.

Leidos has hired John Zangardi, former Homeland Security Department chief information officer, as an executive within the government services company’s civil group.

Reston, Virginia-based Leidos said in a release Monday that Zangardi will serve as senior vice president of business initiatives and strategic partnerships.

Zangardi earlier this month stepped down as DHS CIO after nearly two years in the role. He is also a former principal deputy CIO and acting CIO for the Defense Department.

Prior to his DOD positions, he served as acting Navy Department CIO and deputy assistant navy secretary for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence information operations and space.
