Woman-owned cyber firm adds longtime Jacobs vet

Small business Sentar adds to its team a former longtime Jacobs Engineering Group executive that helped steer its federal strategy, including a recent large acquisition.
Small business Sentar has hired almost two-decade Jacobs Engineering Group veteran Darren Kraabel as president of the company.
Kraabel joins the cybersecurity and intelligence services contractor Sentar to steer its next phase of growth, the company said Tuesday.
Sentar is a woman-owned small business headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama with prime positions on contract vehicles such as Army ITES-3 SB for enterprise IT solutions and the Navy Seaport-e for broad professional services.
At Jacobs, Kraabel was most recently its chief technology and innovation officer with responsibility over a $1.3 billion business unit focused on cybersecurity, analytics and IT solutions.
The global professional services company strung together a series of large takeaway wins against longtime incumbents during the latter years of his tenure at Jacobs, which earlier this year acquired KeyW Corp. to move further in the technology and product domain.
