Trace Systems wins almost $1B DISA contract

Trace Systems has won a five-year contract worth up to $998 million to help the Defense Information Systems Agency run an enterprise IT network for the sharing of information between the U.S. military and mission partners.

DISA received four offers for the contract that was originally announced Friday in the Defense Department’s daily awards digest. That announcement said the contract was valued at $98 million, but the Pentagon subsequently issued a correction Monday to state the ceiling at $998 million.

The Mission Partner Environment connects nearly 45,000 users to services involving communications, weather, logistics, planning, and command-and-control.

Vienna, Virginia-based Trace Systems will provide both equipment and services for DISA to further design and implement new capabilities for the MPE enterprise.
