IT infrastructure outfit Pivot3 names new federal sales lead

IT infrastructure and security company Pivot3 appoints a new federal sales lead to help steer its government market growth.

IT infrastructure and security company Pivot3 said Thursday it has hired nearly two-decade market veteran Jeff Jordan as vice president of federal sales.

Jordan will focus his efforts on driving growth in use cases of its data center, video surveillance and Internet of Things across federal agencies. The Austin, Texas-based company focuses on automating the management of complex, large-scale IT environments.

More recently, Jordan held the same federal sales VP role at Virtual Instruments. He has worked in similar positions at General Electric, Dell EMC and Siemens’ U.S. government market subsidiary.

He will also focus on growing Pivot3’s network of industry partners in the government market that already includes Trace Systems, which recently won an almost $1 billion Defense Information Systems Agency contract to help operate a coalition information sharing environment.
