Cubic adds BAE, Navy vet LaRoche

Find opportunities — and win them.

Cubic Corp. adds former BAE Systems executive and retired Navy Rear Adm. Brian LaRoche to the executive ranks.

Cubic Corp. said Tuesday it has hired nearly three-decade defense industry veteran Brian LaRoche as vice president and chief operating officer for its mission solutions segment.

The retired Navy rear admiral will help lead implementation of business strategies and oversee daily operations of the business. LaRoche will report to Cubic’s mission solutions president Mike Twyman.

San Diego-based Cubic touted LaRoche’s experience in the design, development, production, deployment and sustainment of Navy weapon and combat systems, plus technologies in the “C4ISR” domain.

Most recently, LaRoche was vice president and general manager for weapon systems at BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary. He has also held leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Northrop Grumman.

LaRoche retired from the Navy in 2016 after a career that included assignments such as deputy commander for Military Sealift Command and deputy commander for Surface Force Atlantic.
