CMS makes awards on $5B data services recompete

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services makes 17 awards on the recompete of a $5 billion data and research support contract.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has made 17 awards on a six-year, $5 billion contract for data-related and research services to support federal health care programs.
Both commercial businesses and nonprofits were chosen for the umbrella analytic and technical services contract. They will help develop new models, learning networks, surveys and other data collection techniques from both government and private payer sources.
CMS’ second iteration of the Research, Measurement, Assessment, Design and Analysis contract also known as RMADA also calls on awardees to support rapid-cycle analysis and reporting of interim findings.
RMADA 2.0 awards announced in a Thursday FedBizOpps notice went to:

Deltek data indicates incumbents not selected for this award were Acumen, UnitedHealth Group, National Opinion Research Center, Social & Scientific Systems, Thomson Reuters and the University of Colorado.
Programs that CMS specifically wants more data on include those created under the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program and those from private payer sources.
