CACI awarded $385M Navy HR modernization job

CACI International has been awarded a $385 million task order to modernize IT systems and other platforms that help the Navy manage its human resources functions.

The Navy used an accelerated acquisition process that saw the time from solicitation to award shrink by 16 months versus the typical length of between one and two years for contracts of that size.

For the Sea Warrior effort, CACI will work with the Navy’s program executive office for enterprise information systems to integrate platforms and infrastructure into a more interoperable and scalable network that contains data analytics and other capabilities.

“This task order will provide PMW 240 the technical support resources to transform the Navy’s existing human resources systems into a modern, cloud-based infrastructure that will deliver 21st century services and capabilities to our Sailors,” Sea Warrior’s acting program manager Kenneth Johnson said in a release.

Sea Warrior is part of the service branch’s larger MyNavy HR Transformation initiative to consolidate broader manpower, personnel, training and education functions.
