DTRA retains incumbent for $240M technical reachback contract

Find opportunities — and win them.

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency sticks with an incumbent for a $240 million technical reachback and operational support contract.

Applied Research Associates has won a potential 10-year, $240 million contract for technical and operational support services to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

DTRA received one other bid for the contract that also includes research-and-development services to help the agency develop and advance its capabilities in countering weapons of mass destruction, the Defense Department said in its Tuesday awards digest.

This win means ARA retains work it first won in 2009 under a potential 10-year, $95 million contract that expires in September, according to Deltek data.

The new contract covers a five-year base period followed by an option to extend for five more years.

ARA’s services will also include software configuration management, decision support analysis, and technical reachback involving direct participation in operational plan development and support exercises.
