Find opportunities — and win them.

Data services firm Babel Street adds nearly 15-year FBI veteran and former counterintelligence official Scott Hansen to its leadership team.

Washington, D.C.-based data services firm Babel Street has hired nearly 15-year FBI veteran and former counterintelligence official Scott Hansen as senior vice president of international business development.

Hansen will lead Babel Street's effort to grow its presence in Canada, the U.K. and Middle East. He will report directly to Babel Street President Stephen Coakley, the company said in a release.

This is the third major executive hire Babel Street has announced within the past six months, including the February appointment of retired Army Maj. Gen. Mark Quantock to lead its government business and the May addition of former Defense Department official Dave Dillow to head publicly-available programs.

While in the FBI, he served as an international intermediary and worked to build relationships between other countries and the U.S. law enforcement and intelligence communities.

Hansen more recently was primary liason to the U.S. intelligence community in Mexico.
