CACI adds Army vet, former DTRA exec Shields
CACI International adds retired Army Lt. Gen. and former DTRA executive Michael Shields to the senior leadership team.
CACI International has hired retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Shields as senior vice president of advanced technology for mission adoption.
The company has tasked Shields to oversee integrations of new technologies in areas such as sensors, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence and others in warfighting domains. Shields will also be responsible for guiding development of offerings from quick reaction to full certification and then deployment, CACI said Wednesday.
Shields is a three-decade military veteran and more recently led the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization from 2015 to 2018.
For JIDO, Shields led efforts to counter threat networks and adversaries’ use of new technology against the U.S.
His Army career also includes assignments such as director of the National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center and deputy director for operations and intelligence at JIEDDO.
