The contract was technically awarded to ASRC Federal’s NetCentric subsidiary and supports Bureau of Consular Affairs facilities worldwide, the company said Tuesday.

Work will include transition services to support the software development lifecycle, facility and transition management, independent validation and verification, and quality and configuration management.

According to Deltek data, the contract was first awarded to NetCentric in September 2018 and subsequently protested by Sterling, Virginia-based Advanced Software Systems Inc. Including NetCentric and ASSYST, the State Department received seven total bids for the contract.

ASSYST’s protest was denied by the Government Accountability Office in January of this year and that move clears NetCentric to begin the work.
