Small firm Firebird AST hires new chief growth officer

Arlington, Virginia-based small business Firebird Analytical Solutions and Technologies has hired former Belcan and BAE Systems Inc. executive Michael Koroluk as chief growth officer, the firm said this week.

A service-disabled veteran-owned firm, Firebird AST specializes in intelligence integration and analytic services for federal agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security and law enforcement communities.

Koroluk more recently was a senior capture executive at Belcan and joined that company through its acquisition of Schafer Corp., where he was director of business development.

He is also a former director of operations at Detica and was a component chief of staff for the Homeland Security Department.
