SEC pauses small biz on-ramp for $2.5B enterprise IT contract

The Securities and Exchange Commission cancels for now the small business on-ramp for its main $2.5 billion IT services contract with plans for a restart.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has pressed pause for now on the small business on-ramp process for an almost $2.5 billion enterprise IT services contract.
In a FedBizOpps notice Thursday, the SEC said it has decided to issue a new solicitation “in the near future” after the agency reviewed both its business requirements and issues raised by protester Ekagra Partners.
Ekagra filed a protest to the Government Accountability Office Dec. 28 of last year that was dismissed April 17 of this year.
The SEC had issued a solicitation for the on-ramp to join its “One OIT” program on Nov. 29 with an original due date for proposals of Jan. 15 but extended the deadline twice, eventually to March 8 and then that deadline was suspended to account for the protest.
One OIT is intended as the SEC’s main contract to manage its IT infrastructure and original awards were made last year for both full-and-open and small business portions.
Accenture Federal Services, Attain and Booz Allen Hamilton were chosen for the unrestricted track in May, then 15 small businesses won awards later in October.
