Riverbed names new public sector leader

Riverbed Technologies promotes Jeff Puffenberger to lead its U.S. public sector group nearly six months after he was hired.
Network performance software provider Riverbed Technologies said Wednesday it has promoted one of its recent hires in Jeff Puffenberger to vice president of its U.S. public sector group.
Puffenberger joined Riverbed six months ago to support the company’s business with state and local government agencies, plus customers in the education sector.
His 25-year public sector IT career includes roles such as vice president of cloud applications for Oracle’s federal civilian and head of SLED business at CA Technologies.
Riverbed's U.S. public sector group is headquartered in Reston, Virginia.
