Babel Street hires three-decade Army vet Quantock

Data discovery and analytics software provider Babel Street has hired retired Army Maj. Gen. Mark Quantock as executive vice president of strategic accounts.

Quantock will lead the Washington, D.C.-based company’s efforts to expand its footprints with military and other government organizations worldwide along with commercial entities. Babel Street said Thursday he will focus on guiding its engagements with senior leaders at those organizations.

A 37-year Army veteran, Quantock’s career includes time as operations and military deputy at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. His last assignment was as director of intelligence for Central Command.

Babel Street touts Quantock’s experience in signals intelligence and all-source intelligence. The company designed its software to access and analyze multilingual and geo-enabled data points from public sources in more than 200 languages.
