VT Group acquires engineering and logistics services provider National Technology Associates.

Defense technology services company VT Group has acquired National Technology Associates, a company that provides engineering and logistics services on military aviation platforms and other systems.

Terms of the transaction were undisclosed but VT Group will add nearly 300 NTA employees through the deal, the company said Tuesday.

Founded in 1981, NTA focuses on maintenance and sustainment services on manned and unmanned aircraft. The company also touts its support of research, development, test and evaluation efforts.

NTA represents the first acquisition VT Group has made under the leadership of CEO John Hassoun, who joined in September 2017 after he led Vistronix through its sale three years ago to ASRC Federal.

In a release, Hassoun said the addition of NTA is part of an overall strategy to grow modernization and sustainment services in the C4ISR domain -- command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

Arena Strategic Advisors and Mayer Brown LLP advised VT Group on the transaction.
