SAP NS2, Google form cloud integration partnership

SAP National Security Services -- an independent subsidiary of the German software giant -- has forged a partnership with Google to bring integrated cloud computing and data products and services into the federal market.

Both entities aim to government agencies operate within the framework of FedRAMP government-wide security requirements for a standardized approach to assessing, authorizing and continuous monitoring of cloud-based products and services.

Specifically, the companies said Thursday they will integrate the Google Cloud infrastructure and other operational functions with the SAP HANA in-memory database and the SAP NS2 arm’s secure cloud delivery services.

The goal is to help SAP NS2 customers in the public sector move forward on their digital transformation efforts, gain insights from real-time data, and run applications and analytics on Google’s cloud infrastructure

Herndon, Virginia-based SAP NS2 has a similar partnership with Amazon Web Services unveiled last year. Through that collaboration, SAP NS2’s government customers have access to AWS GovCloud through the Secure HANA cloud tool. This aims to give agencies one point of entry to handle onboarding and managed services.
