SAP NS2, Amazon Web Services form cloud collaboration

The SAP National Security Services subsidiary and Amazon Web Services have formed a collaboration to help mutual customers transition workloads and other resources into a cloud computing environment.

SAP NS2’s government customers can choose the AWS GovCloud (US) offering as part of the former’s Secure HANA cloud tool, the companies said Tuesday. This effort intends to give agencies a single point of entry to address SAP HANA onboarding and managed services available on GovCloud.

Both companies are seeking to help agencies comply with requirements under International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the Defense Department’s Security Requirement’s Guide and the government-wide FedRAMP initiative.

AWS is seen by market analysts and executives as the favorite to win the Defense Department’s $10 billion JEDI cloud infrastructure contract poised to be awarded later this year.
