SAIC names board members joining from Engility

Find opportunities — and win them.

Science Applications International Corp. names those who will join its board of directors from that of Engility after they join forces.

Science Applications International Corp. has revealed the two people who will join its board of directors from that of Engility Corp. after SAIC's acquisition of the latter closes.

David Kerko, a former executive of private equity firm KKR, and retired Army acquisition leader Katrina McFarland will grow the number of SAIC board members to 11, the company said Tuesday.

SAIC and Engility expect the deal to close in February. Federal antitrust regulators cleared the transaction in October.

Kerko joined the Engility board three years ago and McFarland was appointed last year.

KKR is one of the two private equity firms alongside General Atlantic that acquired TASC from Northrop Grumman in 2009. Engility then acquired TASC in 2015.

Collectively, KKR and General Atlantic will hold 7 percent of the stock in SAIC after the Engility acquisition closes.
