Buchanan & Edwards hires Shintani as chief growth officer

Buchanan & Edwards has hired nearly three-decade government IT market veteran Cal Shintani as chief growth officer to oversee business development functions and the company’s merger-and-acquisition program.

Shintani will also help lead marketing and communications, BE said Thursday. He more recently held the chief growth officer roles at HighPoint Global and Oceus Networks.

At HighPoint, Shintani helped steer that company through its acquisition last year of Primescape Solutions to add new citizen-facing digital transformation services. That deal sought to position the company as a connection point from the first contact a citizen has with an agency until that person receives the service he or she needs, he told WT at the time.

His career also includes profit-and-loss and business development roles at companies such as CACI International, Gray Hawk Systems, Veridian and BTG.
