Nonprofit research institute Analytic Services Inc. -- also known as “ANSER” -- has acquired defense services company Domain X Technologies to add new work in areas such as modeling and simulation and software engineering.

Terms of the deal were undisclosed, but ANSER said Thursday that the addition of DXT grows footprints with the Defense and Homeland Security departments.

ANSER is also bringing in more data and information analysis specialists through the transaction, CEO Carmen Spencer said in a release.

Chantilly, Virginia-based DXT is a woman-owned small business that focuses on the domain of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear agent defense.
