Boeing closes buy of small sat company Millennium Space Systems
Boeing closes its buy of small satellite maker Millennium Space Systems as part of a larger push for more agile technologies.
Boeing said Tuesday it has closed its acquisition of small satellite producer Millennium Space Systems as part of the global aerospace company’s push for more agile technologies.
First announced in August, the addition of Millennium Space Systems is intended to complement Boeing’s existing satellite portfolio with smaller platforms as government customers seek cheaper and quicker access to space.
El Segundo, California-based Millennium Space Systems will operate as part of Boeing Phantom Works, the airplane maker’s classified platform development organization.
