ICF agrees to acquire DMS Disaster Consultants to grow software offerings and services in post-disaster recovery and preparedness.

ICF said Thursday it has agreed to acquire DMS Disaster Consultants, a provider of disaster planning and recovery services to public sector agencies.

Terms of the transaction were undisclosed and DMS will operate as part of ICF's disaster management and resilience division after closure.

DMS' portfolio includes "disasTRAX," a project management software program agencies use to create real-time reports of data related to disaster recovery. The company also works with public sector customers to develop strategies for comprehensive insurance, risk management and risk mitigation.

Fairfax, Virginia-based ICF has identified disaster relief and housing recovery programs as an area it expects federal agencies to appropriate large amounts of funding for over the summer. Requests for proposals were anticipated during mid-summer with awards to come later on, executives said in a Feb. 28 earnings call.
