Deloitte names Prabhakar civilian practice head

Deloitte said Tuesday it has appointed two-decade consulting veteran Kavitha Prabhakar to lead the firm's civilian government practice.

The practice has approximately 3,000 professionals that work with 22 citizen-facing agencies. Those clients include the departments of Treasury, Commerce, Transportation, State, Energy, Agriculture, Education and Housing and Urban Development.

Other customers include the Social Security Administration, Postal Service and U.S. Agency for International Development.

Prabhakar succeeds Diane Murray, who has transitioned to delivery excellence leader for Deloitte.
