MicroTech hires Barry West as president

MicroTech names long-time federal IT veteran Barry West as president of the company.
MicroTech said Tuesday it has appointed three-decade federal IT and government service veteran Dr. Barry West as president of the company.
West will oversee the Tysons Corner, Virginia-based contractors' business operations and development functions, plus lead efforts to expand its cybersecurity and cloud computing businesses.
His career in government includes service as chief information officer at several agencies such as the Commerce Department, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., Federal Emergency Management Agency and National Weather Service.
More recently, West was senior adviser and senior accountable official for risk management at the Homeland Security Department.
