Valiant Integrated Services has hired 25-year federal market veteran and former Unisys executive Chris Bauer to lead the national security and mission support business line.

Bauer will officially hold the title of senior vice president and chief operating officer for the business that includes knowledge-based, cyber and other specialized training services, Valient said Monday.

He joins McLean, Virginia-based Valiant nearly two weeks after the company closed its $135 million acquisition of the Cubic Corp. global defense services business.

Bauer previously led the civilian agencies group at Unisys’ federal business as a vice president and also is a former executive from AECOM, where more recently was EVP of its systems engineering and information solutions business.
