CACI takes $407M CDM cyber task order

CACI International wins a potential $407.2 million task order to help implement cybersecurity tools as part of the government-wide Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program.
CACI International has won a potential 10-year, $407.2 million task order to help implement cybersecurity tools as part of the government-wide Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program.
This order covers services for the Department of Homeland Security, or “Group A” of the larger $3.4 billion CDM DEFEND program run by DHS. A department official speaking on background confirmed the award to Washington Technology.
Deltek data indicates the Group A award covers a five-year base period with five one-year options.
CDM task orders are awarded under the General Services Administration’s Alliant 1 Unrestricted contract. GSA and DHS jointly run CDM to secure civilian agency “.gov” networks from cyber attacks.
CACI becomes the second prime contractor to be selected for CDM DEFEND nearly three months after Booz Allen Hamilton won the six-year, $621 million “Group B” task order.
Group B agencies include the Agriculture, Energy, Interior, Transportation and Veterans Affairs departments; Office of Personnel Management; and the Executive Office of the President, including the Office of Management and Budget.
CDM DEFEND is replacing the current CDM monitoring-as-a-service blanket purchase agreement that expires in August.
