Siemens names federal lead Humpton as U.S. CEO
Siemens Corp. appoints federal business leader Barbara Humpton as chief executive for the industrial conglomerate’s U.S. business in a move to take effect June 1.
Siemens Corp. said Thursday that Barbara Humpton, CEO for its federal subsidiary, has been appointed chief executive over all of the industrial conglomerate’s U.S. business in a move slated to take effect June 1.
Humpton has led the Siemens Government Technology organization for nearly three years and first joined the Reston, Virginia-based business in 2011 after a long career at defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen Hamilton.
SGT uses the Siemens Corp. parent as preferred supplier for all federal contracts related to energy, health care, infrastructure and automation.
The business operates as an independently-run subsidiary of Siemens Corp., which has 50,000 employees in the U.S.
