Polaris Alpha extends its profile as an active acquirer through its latest purchase of cyber and hardware services outfit Fourth Dimension Engineering.
Polaris Alpha has continued its run as an active acquirer in the defense IT market with its latest purchase of cyber and hardware services company Fourth Dimension Engineering.
Terms of the transaction were undisclosed and the deal was completed on April 11. Fourth Dimension co-founders Tom Conrad and Faith Horowitz will transition to the leadership team at Polaris Alpha, the companies said Monday.
Columbia, Maryland-based Fourth Dimension specializes in electrical and mechanical design and development, customized wireless tools and embedded hardware and software development.
Polaris Alpha has been one of the busiest buyers in the government IT marketplace since its formation in 2016 through a three-way merger of three other companies in owner Arlington Capital Partners’ portfolio.
Subsequent acquisitions have included the January 2017 acquisition of cyber and signals intelligence firm Inelesys and a deal nine months later for Solidyn Solutions to add a national security space footprint.
SC&H Capital was the investment banker and Venable was legal adviser to Fourth Dimension.
