Belcan government arm adds Dr. Mark Brown as advanced engineering CTO

Belcan said Monday that three-decade military research veteran Dr. Mark Brown has joined the company's government services business as chief technology officer of advanced engineering.

Brown more recently was vice president for the advanced technology solutions division at nonprofit military research and engineering organization Scientific Research Corp. Brown led and provided recommendations to the military services and Office of the Secretary of Defense on technology development and oversight efforts that included test and evaluation activities.

Prior to SRC, Brown worked as lead researcher on weapons controls at Sikorsky for the Comanche helicopter.

He also spent 15 years in public service and his more recent role was at the Army Space and Missile Defense Command, where he led technology development efforts to support the Missile Defense Agency. Brown participated in MDA's Small Business Research Innovation program and other technology initiatives while at SMDC.
