Army extends LOGCAP IV contracts
The Army extends its massive LOGCAP IV logistics contract in order to allow for more time as it moves to the follow-on LOGCAP V contract.
The Army has issued an extension on its current primary contract for global logistics and other professional services as the branch needs more time to award the follow-on vehicle.
DynCorp International, Fluor Corp. and KBRwyle will continue work under the current LOGCAP IV contract for up to two option years for undisclosed dollar amounts. An April 3 FedBizOpps notice announcing the extension redacted the values for each but says the move is needed to extend work "until the competitive follow-on is awarded and transition is complete."
That follow-on is the fifth iteration of the Army's Logistics Civil Augmentation Program. The Army released the solicitation for the almost $82 billion LOGCAP V vehicle Nov. 20 and all bids were due Feb. 26. An award is anticipated for October, according to Deltek data.
LOGCAP work supports the Army, its service component commands, geographic combatant commands, coalition partners and other agencies.
