FEMA to take second look at $610M response support awards

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has pulled back and is taking corrective action on awards for an almost $610 million emergency response support contract.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has pulled back the awards on an almost $610 million contract for advisory and assistance services to support its emergency response and disaster recovery missions.
FEMA is taking corrective actions regarding those awards for the fourth iteration of its Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contracts program initially awarded in January.
With that, the Government Accountability Office on Feb. 22 dismissed a pair of protests from disappointed bidders in Dewberry Crawford Group and Partner 4 Recovery.
They filed their protests in January after FEMA first chose Fluor Corp., Serco Group’s North American subsidiary and CH2M Hill for the contract. FEMA received eight offers in total for PA TAC IV, according to Deltek data.
With the new awards getting a second look, FEMA has issued six-month extensions on the current contracts for PA TAC’s third iteration. AECOM, a CH2M Hill-CDM joint venture, Fluor and NISTAC E are incumbents on PA TAC III
CH2M Hill was acquired by rival global professional services firm Jacobs Engineering in December.
FEMA is dividing work for PA TAC IV across three geographic zones for each individual awardee.
