Peraton adds DHS, DOD vet Brothers as CTO
Peraton continues to build its leadership team with the latest hire of DHS and DOD official Reggie Brothers as executive vice president and CTO.
Peraton said Tuesday it has hired former Homeland Security and Defense Department official Reggie Brothers as executive vice president and chief technology officer.
Brothers will join the technology services contractor on Feb. 19 and oversee its organization responsible for strategic planning, technology solutions, business development, and mergers-and-acquisition activities.
Herndon, Va.-based Peraton has quickly built its leadership team with sector veteran Stu Shea at the helm since the company’s rebranding in July of last year from its former identity as the Harris Corp. IT business. Harris sold the business in April to private equity firm Veritas Capital for $690 million.
Brothers is a former undersecretary for science and technology at DHS, where he oversaw a portfolio that included basic and applied research, development, demonstration, testing and evaluation.
Prior to DHS, he was deputy assistant secretary for research at the Defense Department and oversaw the military’s science and technology programs and laboratories. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and BAE Systems Inc.’s communications and networking business.
More recently, he was a principal at global consulting firm The Chertoff Group.
