OGSystems unveils CEO transition

OGSystems co-founder and president Garrett Pagon will become its CEO as fellow co-founder Omar Balkissoon transitions to its technology spinout.

Geospatial and defense IT contractor OGSystems said Tuesday it has promoted co-founder and president Garrett Pagon to CEO as part of a larger transition in its executive ranks.

Fellow co-founder and now former CEO Omar Balkissoon is transitioning to GeoSpark Analytics, a spinoff company OGSystems started to further commercialize geospatial intelligence technology for the government and commercial sectors.

GeoSpark's flagship BlueGlass analytics platform works to collect data from various sources and apply artificial intelligence techniques in the analysis work. OGSystems first unveiled BlueGlass in September 2016.

Pagon and Balkissoon founded OGSystems in 2005 as a technology services contractor primarily for defense and intelligence agencies.

Chantilly, Va.-based OGSystems also promoted Steve Martin to chief operating officer and Dan Ehrmantraut to chief financial officer.
