Former NSA no. 2 Ledgett joins Polaris Alpha's advisory board
Former NSA Deputy Director Rick Ledgett joins the board of advisers at Polaris Alpha.
Former National Security Agency Deputy Director Rick Ledgett has joined the board of advisers at defense technology contractor Polaris Alpha, the company said Monday.
Ledgett held the second-highest post at NSA from 2014 until his retirement in April of last year after almost three decades at the agency. He was the national intelligence director’s main adviser on cyber issues, oversaw creation of a unified intelligence strategy for cyber and led all cybersecurity work across the intelligence community.
He received the National Security Medal from President Donald Trump on Jan. 4 in recognition of his NSA career.
His other roles at NSA have included deputy director for analysis and production, deputy director for data acquisition and chief of the NSA/Central Security Service Pacific organization.
