Army picks ICF, Parsons for $175M R&D contract

The Army chooses ICF and Parsons Corp.'s government arm for an eight-year, $175 million research-and-development services contract.
The Army has awarded ICF and Parsons Corp.’s government services business spots on an eight-year, $175 million contract to carry out research-and-development work.
The Army Research Laboratory received five bids for the contract to support its computational and information sciences directorate, the Defense Department said in its Friday contracts digest.
Awardees will bid for task orders to analyze, study, develop, design and demonstrate both new concepts and and prototype technologies to fulfill ARL requirements in C5ISR -- command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
A Deltek description of the contract lists requirement areas such as high-performance networking, software-defined networking, production network engineering, quantum networks, high-performance computing and network sciences research.
Work will take place through Dec. 28, 2025.
