SAIC adds Astra Capital's Johnson to board

Science Applications International Corp. adds private equity veteran and Astra Capital leader Mark Johnson to the contractor's board of directors.
Science Applications International Corp. said Monday it has added private equity veteran Mark Johnson to the contractor’s board of directors.
Johnson becomes the board’s ninth member and he will serve on its audit committee.
He is the co-founder and managing partner of Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm Astra Capital Management, which focuses on communications and technology services.
Prior to Astra’s 2014 founding, he was a managing director and global partner at The Carlyle Group. Johnson is also a veteran of financial institutions such as The Blackstone Group, J.H. Whitney & Co. and Merrill Lynch & Co.
