LookingGlass adds government vets Taxay, Haas
Threat intelligence company LookingGlass Cyber Solutions appoints government veterans Michael Taxay and Jeremy Haas to its executive team.
LookingGlass Cyber Solutions has hired a pair of former law enforcement and intelligence executives from government to its executive team as the company seeks to further position its cyber intelligence-focused offerings in the market.
Former FBI and Justice Department official Michael Taxay was appointed chief risk officer and general counsel as CIA and Air Force intelligence veteran Jeremy Hass was named chief security officer, the company said Tuesday.
Taxay’s public sector career includes a senior leadership role in the FBI’s cyber division he held until his retirement from government in 2014. His positions prior to the FBI included acting director for cyber counterterrorism and financial enforcement at the Justice Department, where he also was deputy chief for its counterterrorism section.
Haas supported intelligence activities at the CIA and Air Force for 24 years prior to his appointment at LookingGlass. He worked in the CIA’s center for cyber intelligence within the agency’s directorate of digital innovation. His work at the CIA included leadership of cyber operations, engineering and analysis, counter intelligence and covert activities.
LookingGlass is headquartered in Reston, Va.. The company offers threat intelligence platforms and network-based threat response products to government and commercial entities.
